Let's start thread that has some real meaning for all of us as we are on the Internet and AOL users on AOL, not the Internet. How AOL controls everything AOL users see. How much crap and advertisement (pardon me saying so) they throw at their PAYING users!
Programming - I don't want to go there. AOL 9.0 written by some drunken guy who saw a motherboard once and now writing programs.
Never mind my Mac killed AOL hunger for memory when I was testing their new version (job for hire).
Thank God OS X is Unix and it manages resources exceptionally. But what about those poor Windows users with virtually no hardware management?
AOL claims to have spam filters. Yes, but at what cost? SysOps at AOL do not have a clue what's going on on their network.
Best child protection? AOL will fix my computer? That's a joke, right?
I am better-off with Apple. No fixing required.
Anyways, just thought I'll drop a line or two :-)
