Advanced Nuclear Program
What do you think of Russian President Putin's Russian New Nuclear Weapon Program? I think it will be a response to U.S NMD Program and there will be a New Arm Race in the near future.

What?
Bulava? TOPOL-M? We will see.
Anywhere russians don't think in NMD.
Think about one, only one, submarine lunch a single nuc missile at 25km from USA.
But Russia have about 3000 nuc warheads.

For USA is spend money for nothing.
If a missile is destroied near US teritory the land are afected, so.?

Oh, yes, I remember, in Japan in august 1945 the atomic bomb explode in atmospher, Tzar - the biggest atomic bomb (soviet) was test at a half capacity, same detonated in atmosphere.

Yes, but on impact with the land. maybe explode, maybe, I don't know chemistry.

Sukhoy,
Here is the thing. Nuclear device must go through the process of small explosion inside the device to reach the critical mass. If this doesn't happened - it will not explode.

As for detonating any of such device - it will be more than a chain reaction in the device. Think about chain reaction in the World. :-(
It will not matter much where - it will matter how many and Earth could take just as many. Then it will be a nuclear holocaust.
Russians proved to the whole world that it's not a joke with Chernobyl where peaceful atomic reaction went out of control and we have to thank Mr. Gorbi for that.
So, why not think about how to create peace instead of winning a war.
But hey, that's just me.

Yes work is being done on nuclear fusion reactors but is very slow. Ive heard that major current energy producers who rely on oil, coal and other natural resources are trying to slow down the developement of this technology so they keep making money.

is this true or just a romer.
