Most beautiful looking fighter jet
According to me Sukhoi 30 is most beautiful looking fighter in the world because of its birdy looks. I mean body bending. F22 comes close because it looks futuristic. how will pak-fa look. what do u guys think

I saw it, is like F-22 but the nose bigger (not very much).
I saw it at scale maybe at 100:1. Same futuristic design.

In my opinion stealth generally makes aircraft beautiful. I quite like the look of the Gripen and the F-35. I don't like the sukhois.they look like they have had a tampoon forced up their ass and yes I know it serves a useful purpose.
My favourite looking aircraft would have to be the F-35

You like futuristic design. But USAF renounce at maneuvrability in favour of Stealth but russians can track it.
You like F-15?
Su-27 family looks better and came like F-15 from 80'. PAKFA will look like F-22.

from USAF I like F-16.
From RUAF I like Su-27 family (and SU-34 - like a duck).

Any people like Su-27 only you not. You maybe know Su-27 fam are better and you want not to be right.

Its the same thing said on but everybody on the Russian said of the arguement 'the SU-35 can track the F-22'. Yes the su-35 can track it', but only when it is in 11 or so kms of itself, the amraam on the F-22 could kill the sukhoi from around 80kms away.

to JSF_fan:
All the rubbish about 11 km an' 80 km.

I agree with Sukhoy -Su-27 family looks better.
In my opinion Su-47 is most beautiful looking fighter jet.
His shape is charmed, an' his black color is very opportune.

for JSF_fan:

http://www.astronautix.com/lvs/amraam.htm

AMRAAM - max 70Km range.
But you think any Su pilot will wait ?
http://www.astronautix.com/lvs/r77.htm - R-77 have range max 90Km.
But think at 160Km range of M variant R-77M
Or in MiG-31 case http://www.astronautix.com/lvs/r33.htm - R-33 with its 120Km. (again think at M variant the R-37 http://www.astronautix.com/lvs/r37.htm 300KM )

http://www.astronautix.com/lvs/sparrow.htm - AIM-7 has max 70Km (best variant). Again R-27 has greater range - 80 to 120Km (differ variants)
http://216.239.59.104/search

For short range again ! R-73 is better (sorry - THE BEST IN THE ENTIRE WORLD! REMEMBER!) vs AIM-9 even AIM-9X (prototype one).
http://www.astronautix.com/lvs/r73.htm

http://www.astronautix.com/lvs/sidinder.htm - only 9X version reach 40Km (better than R-73's range but R-73 is in service for 15 years bu 9X are only prototype!)

So, you are only a fanatic american or an amercican side and oyu do not know anythink about aviation.
Sorry, is my opinion, I'm from Roamania and I gave you real data.
I'm not really in russians side but I hate USA because It sponsored anywhere only with BOMBS AND PAIN! (Vietnam Serbia Irak Cuba Afganistan etc.) In present Russia doesn't do like that.

Thanks for correction - but not Rumania, it is Romnia, or in english Roumania. (it is not an important aspect I think).

Before this degenerates into a this vs that, thread.

It's an old adage that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, this is no different. Whatever appeals to one, might repulse the other.

Kill from 80K? Not 100%, even NATO cheerleader Mike Spick asserts that. Sorry there is no silver bullet.

The Raptor is the most advanced fighter in production. Other the other hand it's, from what I've seen on USAF propaganda production on the Discovery channel, observing the clumsy way it manuvered, one of the most overhyped aircraft ever built.

As far as its price tag? How much is actual production cost (including German-Japanese electronic components, Raptor fans can lie all they want,) and what percentage is due to the prevelent CEO fiscal-rape culture florishing under this current administration?

For missiles ranges the max range are very very relative. It depend on speed position altitude size ECM ECCM etc of the aircraft (rabbit or hunter). There are only an aproximative nembers, so we must say "up to" or "max range".
For example russians said Ks-172 can fly 1050 Km. But it can hit a target from a distance UP TO 400KM.
The numbers are very relative.
