Posted by Sukhoy (488) Edit | RE: men:women in millitary Posted: August 27, 2006 (1:12 PM) | It depends about inidan culture and other aspects. I heard for example women can resist at more G than men (maybe because their head are smaller LOL, just kidding). |

Posted by Rowdy (105) Edit | RE: men:women in millitary Posted: August 28, 2006 (12:20 PM) | Women as fighter pilots are okay, but they should not be inducted in infantry and cavalry(especially infantry), since they go for hand-to-hand combat, but they should be recruited in Special Forces Yes, i heard that too women have better capability to withstand greater G-force than men |

Posted by MarlboroMan (30) Edit | RE: men:women in millitary Posted: December 15, 2006 (1:54 AM) | The idea that women can withstand G forces better than men is catagorically false. Reason being you black out when the blood is pulled out of your brain and pools in your ass. Thus your brain more or less shuts down for a moment from lack of oxygen. If you ever see a video of a team like the "Blue Angels" you'll notice something. They are always clenching their entire body. The reason for this is to tighten their muscles which squeezes the capilaries and veins, and keeps the blood from draining. Less muscle mass/weaker muscle mass = less ability to do this. A man and woman of the same height and weight the woman will have more blood, because her body has a higher percentage of fatty tissue (where do you think those curves come from)? But the less muscle mass comes into play in controlling blood flow. Where women see favour as pilots is their smaller size makes it easier to fit into compact aircraft designed to be small fast and manuverable. As far as women in the military, in the US with the exception of combat pilots, women are not allowed in front line positions. The primary purposes being 1st that there is concern that because it is the natural instinct for a man to protect a woman, they may try to protect the female in the unit rather than concentrate on their job. The second being if a man is taken prisoner he will be beaten tortured and killed. With a woman rape is added to this equation, along with cataclysmic political upheavel. Nations like Israel use them everywhere, because quite frankly Israel needs every person they can get anywhere they can put them. Considering they are a tiny nation surrounded by people who would attack them tomarrow if they could get away with it. |
