First two Su-30MK2 shipped to Venezuela
The first two of twenty four Su-30MK2 arrived to Venezuela in December 2006.

This is almost exact version of Su-30MKI with the difference that in-cockpit data displayed in Latin characters and all markings on the aircraft are made it transliterration (not in English).

Now maybe we will hear about F-22 seeing Su-30MK or/and vice versa.

Maybe, but I would prefer Russian pilots to man those Su-30's.

The funny thing about that story, is the reason that Venezuela's government invokes for buing these aircrafts:
As far as I've heard, they said they bought Su-30's for coastline surveillance!

russia should ask to build airbases there.

good position to have out there , close to US.
enough oil

altough i dont think the US would apreciate that and it will be seen as a cold war thing.

Russia build right now in Siria a base. Almost all sirian territary will be defended by S-300.

If USA will mount SAM in Cehia or Poland, I think what do you said is an option for Russia.

But if you look in the past, there is a convention be2een USA and Russia (USSR) - CUBA. From 60' russians are not put there some equipment. So I think is the same with Venezuela and other country from there.

Su-30MK2.

A noteable fighter as far as combat potental, to be sure

One must consider; Pilot skill, and resources such as AWACS and Satalite, into the equasion.

That being the case.

Venezuelin pilots should just leave their planes on the ground and go home.
If they wish to live, in case of a conflict with the USA.

Despite what some may try to pass off as fact.

Russia is self sufficent in most strategic materials including oil.

98 Ilyushin Il-114 would buy Venezuela, some of them with AWACS. there is a chinesse satelite to be launched that Venezuela bought.
